Technological Discrimination?

I've recently read this blog page Technological Racism and thought even though I am a firefox user that it was wrong for Websites to purposely make their website look like crap in certain browsers.. Of course it's their choice but you would think that someone taking the time to make a website would want it to look nice in any browser.. Honestly I can't stand IE and when Skinning or working on my own website I get pissed at How my layout looks in IE a lot but still everyone has their own choices as far as browsers.. I think the blogs term for this 'tech racism' is a bit harsh.. It's not actually racism but more..Tech discrimination.

Anyway I was just wondering what everyone else though about this?

Re: Technological Discrimination?

Oh don't ask me. There's a page I go every once in a while and I can't use the pop up tables (whatever) to jump to the different menus with firefox. That's annoying. Why do I create a website? To inform other people or not? Tho I think the page I go didn't do it on purpose.

I think since there's a possibility to make pages look similar in both browsers you should try to too it. I mean isn't it something I like to have? That my page looks the best possible way everywhere? I mean it takes hours and days to do all the coding.

What about Opera? Does it look even more different there too?

It annoys me but I never thought about racism or discrimination also never that people do it on purpose. If so they should put their pages and stick it where the sun don't shine.
But it is probably IE employees who aren't allowed to do it for FF users at all
 :ff
